Jocelyn Farrell-Mendez has been engaged in the field of graphic design for over 15 years. Her interests began in a high school art class, where her design for a kids “smoke free space” sticker was chosen by the Tobacco Free Kids coalition. She later received her BA in Public Communication, with a concentration in PR & Advertising, from SUNY Buffalo State College. She became fluent in all things marketing and design while serving as Communications Director for the non-profit organization, New York State Recreation & Parks Society in Saratoga Springs, NY. It was there, through her work re-branding the membership’s quarterly magazine publication, that she developed a love for layout design—a passion and skillset that has translated to front-end web design as well. She was later hired by Yoga Mandali to manage and market the studio’s events and promotions. There, she honed her ability to read people’s needs and conceptualize those needs through the art of design. After 3+ years, she found a niche serving the yoga and wellness community, and decided to pursue a freelance career in graphic design. Throughout her many years of experience, Jocelyn has developed a keen ability to see and interpret people’s hopes and aspirations, and translate them into a working design solution. She listens and gets to know what each client is drawn to so that she can create the perfect solution for both you and your audience!
When Jocelyn is not humming away behind her laptop, she is likely teaching yoga or enjoying the outdoors. She loves to travel, write, and watch movies. You can find more about her yoga and meditation offerings here.
